Who are we?
Our team of  early learning professionals have a passion to provide quality education and care and a desire to  empower families to become engaged in their child's early learning. Staff possess a vast amount of experience with varying degrees and certifications. To learn more about our early educators click here .
 
Since 1993 the Mt. View School (also known as Discover the Rainbow) has been providing high quality early learning programs for children and families in Pike County and the surrounding area. With over 25 years of experience, Luann Scardino, has become a leading advocate in early education. She is one of the founders and current President of R.E.E.CH.E., Recognizing Excellence in Early Childhood Education,  a non profit organization whose mission is to promote early care and education through community events. She is the Chairperson for the Delaware Valley School District's Early Education Career Tech program, President of the Penn State Extension Advisory board, and presides on the Pike County LEARN team collaborating with the school district for transition to kindergarten. Her newest company, Sunshine Sitters, provides on & off site babysitting matching a qualified care giver to familes.
 
Luann has exstensive experience working with children and families acquired by a lifetime of community involvment, volunteering, coaching,  partnerships with early intervention,
and certifications in Early Childhood, Business, Applied Behavior Analysis and the PA Director's Credential. She has been a guest speaker at the National Associaton for Early Education's Fall Conferences with her Become a Champion series. 
 
Luann is the recipient of the R.E.E.CH.E. Excellence Award, Champions of Young Children Award and in 2005 Luann was awarded,  in partnership with R.E.E.CH.E., the Community Champion  Award presented by PACCA, the Pennsylvania Child Care Association.
